Waiting Lists
The Niagara Falls Leased Housing Office will accept applications for placement on its Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program waiting list during the following enrollment period:
Monday, January 9, 2023 through Monday, January 23, 2023
Applications must be submitted through the WaitList Check online application portal. The WaitList Check online application portal will be available online starting on Monday, January 9, 2023 at 8:00am and closing Monday January 23, 2023 at 11:59pm. The link to apply online through Wait List Check will be available online at nf-cd.org and niagarafallsusa.org.
ONLY ONLINE APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED. YOU DO NOT NEED TO APPLY IN PERSON. Applications must be submitted through the WaitList Check online application portal using any internet-capable device (e.g., desktop and laptop computers, tablets, smart phones, etc.) with internet browser access (e.g., Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, etc.). Please keep a copy of the information provided in the Application Receipt after submitting your application.
The Niagara Falls Leased Housing Office (745 Main Street, Niagara Falls, NY 14301) will provide computers and internet to those that do not have internet access or need technical assistance during normal office hours of 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday during the enrollment period.
This application does not guarantee placement on the waitlist. The final waitlist will be determined using a random lottery. Applications chosen during the lottery will be randomly assigned applicant ID numbers and ranked using the following preferences: homeless individuals and families, families of more than one person, and elderly or disabled single person households.
Applicants not selected in this lottery will not move forward in the process and will be notified of their status, along with households that make the list. Waitlist lottery results are final and are not subject to appeal. Households not selected for this waitlist may reapply when the waitlist application period reopens. All eligible applicants will be notified via Wait List Check and can check their application on or after Monday, March 20, 2023.
