Project Based United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Housing Choice Vouchers (HCV) awarded to three entities in Niagara Falls, New York.
The City of Niagara Falls Department of Community Development (CD) acts as a local Public Housing Agency (PHA) for the administration of HCVs and project based housing vouchers (PBV)s.
CD is awarding PBV assistance to three Niagara Falls entities as listed below:

Number of Units: 10
On March 25, 2019 and June 3, 2019 CD accepted proposals for PBV assistance via request for proposal. Awardees were competitively selected when the opportunity of PBV assistance was advertised for public application in the local paper of record and www.nf-cd.org. The second round was offered due to the level of interest. The opportunity was advertised in compliance with 24 CFR 983.51.C.
Per federal regulations and the adopted City of Niagara Falls, New York Leased Housing Program Housing Choice Voucher Administrative Plan, proposals were evaluated on their merits using the following criteria: 1. Extent to which the project furthers the PHA goal of deconcentrating poverty and expanding housing and economic opportunities; and 2. Extent to which the proposal compliments other local activities such as the redevelopment of a public housing site under HOPE VI program, the HOME program, CDBG activities, other development activities in a HUD-designated Enterprise Zone, Economic Community or Renewal Community.
This notice is being published in the Niagara Gazette for two consecutive days and also on CD’s website in compliance with 24 CFR 983.51.D.
