Niagara Falls Pendulum Painting Art Show

On Tuesday, August 21 at 5:30 pm, join Niagara Falls Community Development, the Niagara Falls City School District and the Castellani Art Museum for the Pendulum Paining Art Show. This special show will feature masterpieces created by young Niagara Falls artists at  "Summer In Your City" STEAM pendulum paining sessions in city parks. "The creative works of our young residents deserves to be celebrated by the community, right along side paintings and sculptures from world famous artists," said Seth Piccirillo, Director of Community Development.

The Niagara Falls Science Technology Engineering Arts and Math (STEAM) workshops are part of the 2018 Summer In Your City Event Series, sponsored by the New York State Health Foundation, at no cost to local taxpayers. Learn more  about the series at Light refreshments will be served at the art show and parking is free on the Niagara University Campus.

The Science Behind Pendulum Painting: A pendulum is a fixed object hung from a point so it can swing freely back and forth due to the force of gravity. When discussing the concept with children a great example to use is a swing. As a the swing moves back and forth it is demonstrating the physics of a pendulum.
